【 Product Features 】
This product is a white emulsion made from alkyl ketene dimer (AKD for short) and cationic surfactant by homogenization process. It is suitable for reactive sizing agent made under medium alkaline (pH value 7.5 ~ 8.5) conditions. It is widely used in the production of medium and high grade cultural paper, photographic base paper, fruit bag paper, wrapping paper and paperboard. It can improve the whiteness, smoothness and evenness of the paper, and can significantly improve the printing adaptability and ink absorption of the paper, and adapt to the development of inkjet technology. At the same time reduce the white water load, reduce energy consumption, improve the operating environment.
【 Product performance 】
- Significantly improve paper strength, toughness, whiteness and opacity, good optical properties, chemical stability and printability;
- The calcium carbonate filler has a high tolerance (10 ~ 30%), which can save fiber raw materials and reduce pulp consumption;
- Without aluminum sulfate, soluble solids in white water can be greatly reduced and closed circulation can be reduced to reduce environmental pollution and save water;
- Because it is made under alkaline conditions, it can reduce the corrosion of equipment and extend the service life of mesh cloth and blanket;
- Small foam, no dirt, clean the wet end system of the paper machine, improve the running performance of the paper machine.
【 Note 】
- The pH value of the front box is controlled at 7.5 ~ 8.5; When the Zeta potential of the headbox is -3 ~ 5mv, the retention rate of the first pass and the sizing efficiency of AKD can be improved.
- Reasonable heating curve can improve the sizing efficiency and curing speed of AKD;
- When using, if the sizing agent emulsion is found to be stratified, thickened, and a large amount of gas is released, it should be stopped immediately;
- 30-50ppm fungicide can be added to the slurry pool or white water in the summer high temperature.
【 Packaging and storage 】
- The product should be stored in a closed and cool place (5℃ ~ 30℃), and it is strictly prohibited to be exposed and frozen; Shelf life is 3 months.
