AKD (Alkyl Ketene Dimer, AKD for short) raw powder is a fiber reactive neutral sizing agent. The AKD raw has high effective content, high iodine value, low acid value, and no organic solvents such as toluene. It is a highly efficient sizing agent, especially suitable for environmental protection requirements, and meets the non-toxic standards for use in food packaging paper.
【 Performance Characteristics 】
Due to the solvent-free production method, AKD raw powder does not contain toxic substances such as toluene, and is particularly suitable for paper types with high hygiene requirements such as liquid food packaging paper. AKD raw powder is a solid that is easy to emulsify and can be melted into a liquid at a slightly high temperature of 47°C. Generally, cationic starch or cationic polymer is used as an emulsifier, and the dispersion and homogenization function of a high-pressure homogenizer is used to disperse it into a suspension with fine particles, uniform charge, and stable dispersion.
